List structure is invalid
List tags are nested incorrectly: LI outside L, LBody outside LI, unexpected children inside L or LI, or a Caption in the wrong position.
Why it matters
Assistive technology announces list length and item position from this structure. Broken nesting means users lose the 'item 3 of 8' context that makes lists navigable.
How to fix it
- Ensure the hierarchy is L > LI > (Lbl, LBody) with nothing else in between.
- Move a list Caption so it is the first child of L.
- Use real list styles in the source document instead of manually typed bullet characters.

What the standard says
